Only thing I'm sure of is we like traffic lights and the Brits like traffic circles/roundabouts.And it's obvious why "suddenly people drive more cautiously". It's visibly easier to get rammed in a roundabout. A lot easier.
No traffic lights? That would certainly make the immigrants across our southern border feel more at home. ;)Seriously though... round-abouts are great and faster than traffic lights. .. and this is coming from a Texas native.
I personally like round-abouts. They're stylish and effective. Form and function.
They also tend to take up more space, which is why you don't see them in urban areas like mine.
