Hurricanes Defy Scientists and Stay Home

Brendan Loy says this may be the shortest Hurricane season, yet. An optimist would say, "Nah Nah Ne Nah Nah!" A pessimist would say, "We're just getting warmed up (pardon the Global warming pun), just wait, the season will start later and end later in 2006."

Personally, when long-range authoritarian predictions are made, I think God laughs and throws a curveball just to remind everyone about Who's boss.

Like Bird Flu.

And regular Flu.

And the Economy.

And home sales.

Let's see, what other predictions have been total hoo-ha? Add any you like.
