If Jackson puts the same quality and care into it as he did LOTR, this is going to be one class act.
I hope he can get the same actors for Bilbo, Gandalf, and Gollum (the major characters common to both sagas). And, for continuity, a cameo of Legolas when Bilbo, Thorin, & Co get jugged by Legolas's father the Elvenking.
