Why did so many Lebanese die compared to Israel?

If they spent 5% of the amount of money that went to buy missiles, on building civilian bomb shelters, then maybe less civilians would have died in a war that they started and have been preparing for for the last 6 years.
Also, not firing rockets from schools and apartment buildings would have helped.
That makes the presumption that Hezballah desires to spare their countrymen, women and children. Hardly. They want dead corpses to display. It suits their propaganda war needs.
Ofcourse, you know this. Just sayin'...
