Superbowl Ads: fMRI Reveals Winner
Functional MRI again! This research is changing everything, including marketing or maybe especially marketing. In fact, lots of fMRI work is being funded by big business. As previously noted here, they want to know how your brain works on crack, I mean Coke (you know Coca-Cola) or Bud or Disney.
My personal favorite ad, even before I read the neuroscience results: the football guys practicing saying "I'm going to Disneyworld!" What a neat ad. Mr. Dr. and I both got dewy-eyed. Okay, I cried. Yes, I'm a complete weenie.
