Powerline: Foget Doctoring, It's the STAGING of Photos That is Worrisome

He has an excellent example from Lebanon to prove his point.

You know, deadlines, political views and laziness create a perfect storm of misinformation. A "citizen" is quoted as saying...... Aw, heck, the citizen is the editorial assistant's brother, but whatever.

The news has never been unbiased, but blatent lies presented as truth didn't seem as pervasive. Maybe with the internet there are more experts with more ability to catch the crimes. With technology such as it is, it has never been easier to foist fakes on the unsuspecting public. Except that now, the public views the media more suspiciously.

As Winnie the Pooh said to Christopher Robin, "I think the bees suspect something."
