Clintons Hate ABC Miniseries For Good Reason

It unmasks them in all their self-protective, soft on terrorism glory. John Hawkins says:

Having the Clinton Administration complain that they look bad in this mini-series is like a football team that lost a game 56-0 griping that the highlight reel on the news that night made them look bad. The truth is that the Clinton Administration didn't take terrorism as seriously as they should have and did very little of note to prevent it. Since that's the case, the Clinton Administration can't possibly come off well in any sort of mini-series that accurately discusses what happened.

Hawkins also highlights a poll at Democratic Underground:

So, 80% of the liberal Dems who go to the DU believe the Bush Administration was actually sending anthrax to American citizens in order to help get the Patriot Act passed.

This brings to light a question: what must it be like for a Democratic politician to go to an event and know, even before he or she walks in that door, that a significant percentage of the people there will be utterly insane? I mean that these nutty conspiracy theories have become so widely accepted on the left, that you can be almost certain that any large gathering of liberals is going to draw a lot of kooks. Worse yet, there are so many of these nutjobs out there that they actually constitute a voting block on the left.

And, I'd like to reiterate that the Clintons are viewed as Moderates. It's interesting what moderate means to some people.

They don't need to worry. ABC is "re-editing" the miniseries before show date. As Stargate SG-1's Priors of the Orrai would put it:

"HALLOWED ARE THE CLINTONS..."
