Insular Oligarchies at Academic Institutions

Ivy League schools pushing back against classic liberalism and fighting for radically reactionary policies. Aren't the 60s in the past? Shouldn't the Academy explore new ways to innovate and contribute to modern thought?

Ha! Good luck with that; the universities are full of power-hungry academics who solely want administrations that are their minions. Not to be melodramatic but there it is--I was at Harvard while Summers got forced out, and I was graduating when the student body began to chant "Lar-ry! Lar-ry!"

It'll be years before the liberal left gives up its chokehold on the Ivies...

Christy,

What was your major? Everything I read indicates that Summers was loved by the students and loathed by certain members of the faculty.

I don't expect institutions of higher learning to change much.
