Medgadget: Necessity is the Mother of Invention

Prosthetic limb technology is exploding thanks to the unfortunate circumstances survivors of explosions in Afghanistand and Iraq endure. The upside of course, is that the likelihood of survival after some of these horrible injuries in previous wars was next to nothing. Improved technology--better body armor, triage protocals on the battlefield--save lives. Hopefully, the "bionic" arms and legs will make life happier and more normal for our brave soldiers.
