FDA Foolishness
The drug machine operates full force here in the U.S.--and I'm not talking about the Crystal Meth craze. No, I'm talking about the legal drugs being sold and killing far more Americans than any evil corner drug dealer could ever imagine dooming.
Aided and abetted by the FDA, pharma companies sell medications off-label (absolutely no research confirming effectiveness) which MDs then blithely prescribe, they sell meds they absolutely know are harmful which MDs then blithely prescribe and they operate virtually unchecked except by lawsuits that they figure into their cost-benefit analysis.
Go to Dr. Mercola and watch for yourself. And then, order the accompanying video. $18 well-spent. (And no, I don't have any affiliation with this Doc or his site, for the record.)

I can't turn on a cable channel without seeing commercials on "Ask your doctor about (fill-in-the-blank-drug)". And I'm not talking about Bob the Tetanus Boy and his "natural male enhancement" -- I'm talking about hawking even cancer chemotherapy drugs (with the expected scare tactics) on the air!
Same with radio. Drug (and Cancer Scare) commercials are right up there in heavy rotation with Paid Political Announcements.
And when I went in for my 50-year-old checkup last week (after the media mantra prep of "CANCER! CANCER! CANCER!"), almost everything in my doc's office had a plug for some sort of drug company.
If you're going to do a 24/7 Wild West Medicine Show, at least bring back the Kickapoo Indians and their Joy Juice!
