Man, I'm nervous. This is a nail-biting day. I was involved in politics all the way from Fifth Grade when I learned the power of a vote: I voted for my opponent (I campaigned with Mickey Mouse signs saying "Vote for Melissa!") to be "polite" and lost the Student Body President election by one vote.

NEVER AGAIN!

Ha! No I wasn't permanently scarred, but I did learn a very good lesson in representative democracies and the power of ONE to make a huge difference. Cynical? You experience the power of one every time you're behind grandma on the freeway that's backed up for miles. Yes, indeed, one person can make a difference.
