Porky Pigs Everywhere But Pig Country
Check out this Google map of where the earmarks go in America. Now, I'd like to know the about the density of tax revenue and population maps superimposed. Say what you want about Tom DeLay, but I don't see a gazillion dollars coming to Houston, Texas. Five beneficiaries: Rice, Methodist Hospital, NASA and two aerospace companies.
And look at Detroit, that vacuum of despair sucks away at the taxpayer teet and has about as much to show for it as New Orleans--money and corruption and misery among the populace. Does anyone know if the Detroit companies are well-known and legit or is this a Murtha thing?

I have a contact in rural Michigan who gives me regular updates on the kleptocracy circus that is Detroit politics. It's crazier than the Klansman-or-Crook-or-Kingfish of Louisiana politics.
The only way to describe Detroit is it's run exactly like an African Third World Country -- not just any third world country, but an African one.
Idi Amin Dada would feel right at home among his soul brothers who run Detroit.
