I like Barack Obama. He seems to be a pleasant enough man. Betsy Newmark believes his likeability presents the GOP a problem because few people like John McCain. John McCain seems better to Republican voters than the leftists like Barack Obama because it's a matter of degrees in policies. When it comes to personality, John McCain wears the pained expression of a man suffering fools through gritted teeth. Even his smiles seem forced.
For a long while, the press kissed McCain's ass because he sold out the Republicans, but now, he's the Republican candidate and will be subject to the press' wrath. Jim Hoft says:
The media has the serious hots for the Messiah and this year they will not let any bit of God d*mn truth get in the way of pushing their own personal Jesus through the front doors of the White House in '09.Hoft then points to a Newsweek piece that at once savages McCain and makes hot sweet love to Obama. Macranger says, "I wonder if Obama smoked a cigarette afterward."
The bigger thing than Obama's likeability is the presses near constant adoration they give team Obama. The picture the press paints of Obama is nothing if not likeable. Is Obama really all that likeable? If he isn't, we'll never know.
