The TV Cometh

Finally.

Mr. Dr. finally got his gift. It's this. He loves it. You would think that these new TVs aren't that great compared to the old analog TVs. You'd be wrong.

We watched Lord of the Rings III, the first disc, and oooh'd and ahhh'd over the clarity, the subtle color variations we never saw before. Things that looked gray were the purple or green or blue Peter Jackson meant them to be. To see Rivendell with this brilliant color is to see it as Tolkien must have intended it--a radiant civilization fading with each falling leaf. Gorgeous and heart-breaking.

As Ferris Bueller says, "It is so choice! If you have the means, I highly recommend it."
