The Times Lied...Add Them to the Mendacious Media List

Should the conventional wisdom now be "don't believe what you see or read?" Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. After reading Captain's Quarter's deconstructing of New York Times Editor Bill Keller's decision to hold a story for a year because it would benefit Bush during the run-up to the 2004 election and then lying about the timing of the article, regarding everything in any NYT's article as suspect, even guilty, until proven innocent, seems wise.

The article in question is not some silly column by Maureen Dowd the spinster (and I believe both definitions of the word are apropos here) with the mean mouth still incredulous that no man wants her in all her red-stilletto'd glory. No, the article in question is the Pulitzer prize-winning confection by James Risen and Eric Lichtblau that spilled NSA secrets. That article. Held back and lied about with the authors consent or perhaps even encouragement, no doubt.

Pulizer prize winning writers manipulating the media for their own political ends. An editor either driving or endorsing this decision. Reuters, AP, the New York Times, CBS, NBC..... They have all been caught lying, manipulating and misrepresenting the truth. Have you noticed that the beneficiaries of the lies have ALWAYS, without fail, benefitted leftists or their worldview? Conversely, the lies always, without fail, cast the administration and the President in a bad light.

The MSM has earned their mendacious reputation. They are worthy of scorn.
