Smoking Kills & There's Help

The Tornoto Star says: It's not your fault.

A governmental panel says smoking is the fault of Tobacco companies. And, of course, the GOVERNMENT SHOULD DO MORE. You see, people don't know that smoking is bad. And they don't realize help is at their local doctor's office. I'm serious.

This is a public service announcement for those not already aware: smoking kills. I know this is bad news if you tried to be the popular kid in sixth grade, your parents were smokers or unaware or uninterested rubes who didn't stop you, and now you're hooked. You're right. It is very uncool to smoke past the age of, oh, 22. You look like an addict. You are an addict.

Service announcement number two: You can get help for smoking. Lot's of helpful ways to quit exist including nicotine replacement, therapy, acupuncture and hallucination, I mean hypnosis.

I Googled Smoking Cessation. It came up with nothing. Zip. Zero. Nada. That governmental panel is right. Poor, poor smokers. Socially ostracized and alone with their addiction, helpless to conquer it with no one to turn to for help.
