Digital Cameras: Do the Number of Pixels Matter?

If you have Five mega-pixels on your camera and you're an amateur that should be enough, so says this expert.

This is the camera I use and I love it and it has 7.2 Mega-pixels. Perhaps I'm wasting those extra pixels, but I fool around just enough with photography that a little extra can mean a lot in certain situations. Most of the time, I'm happy with the camera because of its nice Carl Zeiss lens and other lovely features.
